Airbricks and airbrick covers
Don't forget that water can enter your property through the airbricks!
One of the primary areas that water can enter a property is via the airbricks. These exist on most properties to facilitate ventilation and avoid damp, but during flooding they also provide open access to flood waters. There are different types of airbrick protection available on the market, ranging from single use adhesive covers, through screw-in or latch-in covers, up to automated one-way airbrick covers at the top end of the market. All of the types of flood protection airbricks detailed below are effective for protection of domestic and commercial properties, and meet either British or Industry standards. Your choice of airbrick protection may depend on many factors, but our recommendation would always be a permanently installed one-way airbrick cover for the simple reason that they afford permanent protection from floodwater regardless of whether you are alerted in time to take action.
